About

Navocem was founded with a vision to provide a more sustainable, economical and high-performance construction solution, through a new cost-effective, clean, code-certified building material platform.

One of the co-founders, Dr. Ramkumar, a Material Science Engineer from Regional Engineering College, India, holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Material Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago. With post-doctoral research experience at Argonne National Lab, Chicago, and over a decade of research, he has secured multiple patents. His work led to the development of an innovative method for producing cement using industrial waste, such as mining aggregate and steel plant slag.

Navocem’s breakthrough resulted in patented*, 100% clinker-free, eco-friendly cement products, designed to eliminate CO2 emissions at a fraction of the cost of traditional cement production.

Navocem The Green Cement

Navocem offers an innovative green cement solution made from Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) and a proprietary activator, providing a 100% clinker-free alternative to traditional Portland cement. This breakthrough significantly reduces carbon emissions, achieving an impressive 84% CO₂ savings. With minimal energy and fuel requirements, Navocem promotes sustainability by utilizing 90-94% GGBS, a by-product of steel production, thereby supporting a circular economy and repurposing industrial waste. Delivering similar or superior performance compared to conventional cement, Navocem is ideal for eco-conscious projects, offering high durability and strength without compromising structural integrity. Available in two grades—Navocem Regular (OPC 43 grade equivalent) and Navocem Premium (Curing-Free Cement)—it provides versatile options for sustainable construction.
